Though pencilling Enright into a future rotation spot would be convenient, there’s no guarantee that he’ll continue retiring batters at such a strong pace. His arm might best serve as a long-relief option out of the bullpen in years to come.
Considering the current state of Arizona’s relief corps, Enright’s contributions, even from a lesser role, could make a world of difference for the Diamondbacks.
